Our story
Every big vision has to start somewhere. Ours started with a mother, a daughter, and a promise.
Ever since losing my mother in 2018, I knew my life's work would be dedicated to honoring her memory through meaningful service to others.
My mother was the most selfless person I knew. She spent all of her days pouring into people who needed love and guidance.
With professional experience as a Program Manager overseeing four residential facilities in Philadelphia, I have spent years managing 24/7 care and housing for adults with intellectual disabilities.
During that profound time, I had the privilege of hiring my mother as a Direct Support Specialist. Together, side by side, we provided hands-on care, housing, and unconditional support to individuals in need.
THE MEANING BEHIND GLT
GLT stands for Giving Like Tonia — named after my late mother. It also embodies our daily pillars: Guidance, Love, and Transformation.
We are beginning this journey by providing vital shelter and transitional housing — with the ultimate goal of growing into a full-scale residential care program just like the one my mother and I proudly ran together.
